Allear 5 Mg 20 Tablets
Description:
Allear 5 mg 20 tablets is an oral antihistamine medicine containing levocetirizine, a third-generation non-sedating h1 receptor antagonist used for the relief of allergy symptoms. It is designed to effectively control seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives), helping to reduce sneezing, runny nose, nasal itching, itchy/watery eyes, and skin itching or rashes. As a modern antihistamine, Allear provides long-lasting allergy relief with minimal drowsiness when used at recommended doses.
Indications:
- Treatment of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, nasal itching, and itchy/watery eyes.
- Treatment of symptoms of perennial (year-round) allergic rhinitis caused by dust mites, animal dander, molds, and other indoor allergens.
- Relief of chronic idiopathic urticaria (chronic hives), including itchy skin, redness, and raised wheals.
- Helps reduce allergy-related nasal congestion and irritation of the upper respiratory tract associated with histamine release.
Active Ingredients / Key Components:
- Levocetirizine dihydrochloride – 5 mg per film-coated tablet.
- Excipients (inactive ingredients) such as tablet fillers, binders, and coating agents are present but specific types and concentrations , please check the product leaflet or the manufacturer’s official website.
Dosage & Administration / How to Use:
- Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: Usually 1 tablet (5 mg) once daily, swallowed whole with a glass of water.
- May be taken with or without food; taking it at the same time each day is recommended for consistent allergy control.
- Patients with kidney (renal) impairment may require dose adjustment; follow your doctor’s instructions strictly.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose unless directed by a healthcare professional.
- If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
- Use only under medical advice in children; appropriate pediatric dosing depends on age and body weight and may require different strengths or formulations.
Clinical Benefits:
- Provides effective relief from symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny nose, and nasal itching.
- Helps control chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) by reducing itching, redness, and wheal formation.
- Third-generation, selective h1 receptor antagonist with low potential for sedation at recommended doses, allowing better daytime functioning.
- Long-lasting 24-hour symptom control with once-daily dosing for convenient allergy management.
Warnings & Contraindications:
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or any of the excipients in the formulation.
