About the product

Anselacox 90 Mg 30 Tablets

Description:

Anselacox 90 mg 30 tablets is a prescription anti-inflammatory pain relief medicine containing etoricoxib, a selective cox-2 inhibitor (coxib). It is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, chronic low back pain, acute pain, and gout. By selectively inhibiting the cox-2 enzyme involved in prostaglandin production, Anselacox helps reduce pain, swelling, and stiffness while minimizing effects on the stomach lining compared with non-selective NSAIDs. This product is intended for adult use under medical supervision.

Indications:

  • Treatment of pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis (joint degeneration with pain and stiffness).
  • Management of rheumatoid arthritis, including joint pain, swelling, and reduced mobility.
  • Treatment of psoriatic arthritis with associated joint pain and inflammation.
  • Management of ankylosing spondylitis and other spondyloarthropathies causing back pain and stiffness.
  • Relief of chronic low back pain of inflammatory or degenerative origin, as prescribed by a physician.
  • Short-term treatment of acute pain (such as musculoskeletal pain, post-traumatic pain) as directed by a doctor.
  • Treatment of acute gouty arthritis to reduce intense joint pain, redness, and swelling.

Active Ingredients / Key Components:

  • Etoricoxib 90 mg per film-coated tablet (selective cox-2 inhibitor).
  • Other excipients: full list of inactive ingredients is not available For full ingredient information, please check the product leaflet or the manufacturer’s official website. Please refer to the official package leaflet for complete excipient details.

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

  • Use exactly as prescribed by your physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.
  • Typical adult doses (for guidance only – final dose must be determined by the doctor):
    • Osteoarthritis: usually 30–60 mg once daily; some patients may receive 90 mg once daily if prescribed.
    • Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis: up to 90 mg once daily as directed.
    • Acute gouty arthritis: up to 120 mg once daily for the shortest possible duration (usually a few days) if prescribed.
    • Acute pain or chronic low back pain: dose and duration individualized by the physician, not to exceed the maximum daily dose.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew.
  • Can be taken with or without food; taking it with food may slow the onset of action slightly but can improve stomach comfort in some patients.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents unless specifically prescribed by a specialist.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Provides effective relief of inflammatory pain associated with arthritis and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Reduces joint swelling, stiffness, and tenderness, helping improve mobility and daily function.
  • Selective cox-2 inhibition offers targeted anti-inflammatory action while reducing impact on gastric cox-1 compared with traditional NSAIDs.
  • Helps manage acute gout attacks by rapidly decreasing intense joint pain and inflammation.
  • Supports better quality of life for patients with chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and chronic low back pain when used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

Warnings & Contraindications:

  • Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any component of the formulation.
  • Do not use if you have active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver impairment, severe kidney impairment, or inflammatory bowel disease unless specifically advised by a specialist.
  • Contraindicated in patients with established ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease (such as stroke), or uncontrolled hypertension, due to increased cardiovascular risk.
  • Use with caution in patients with a history of heart failure, edema, high blood pressure, or risk factors for cardiovascular disease (e.g., smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol).
  • Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver or kidney impairment; dose adjustment or alternative therapy may be required.
  • May increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulceration, or perforation, especially in elderly patients or those using other NSAIDs, aspirin, corticosteroids, or anticoagulants.
  • May cause fluid retention and edema; monitor in patients with heart failure or hypertension.
  • Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Etoricoxib is generally not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.
  • Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, especially anticoagulants, antiplatelets, diuretics, antihypertensives, other NSAIDs, low-dose aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, and cyclosporine.
  • Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease without proper medical supervision.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration, as prolonged use may increase the risk of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal side effects.

  • Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, fatigue, heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, and swelling of legs or ankles (edema).
  • Less common side effects may include increased blood pressure, palpitations, fluid retention, skin rash, itching, or mild liver enzyme elevations on blood tests.
