Description:

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

• This product is a prescription medicine. Always use exactly as directed by your doctor.
• Adults and children/adolescents over 70 kg body weight:
  - Initial dose: 40 mg once daily.
  - After a minimum of 3 days, the dose may be increased to a target total daily dose of approximately 80 mg, given either as a single morning dose or divided into morning and late afternoon/early evening doses.
  - Maximum total daily dose: 100 mg.
• Children and adolescents up to 70 kg body weight:
  - Initial dose: 0.5 mg/kg/day.
  - After a minimum of 3 days, the dose may be increased to a target total daily dose of approximately 1.2 mg/kg/day, given as a single morning dose or divided into two doses (morning and late afternoon/early evening).
  - The total daily dose should not exceed 1.4 mg/kg or 100 mg (whichever is lower).
• Capsules should be swallowed whole with water; do not open, crush, or chew the capsules.
• Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.
• Do not adjust the dose or stop treatment without consulting your doctor. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on response and tolerability.
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

Warnings & Contraindications:

• May cause growth delay in some children; periodic monitoring of height and weight is recommended during long-term treatment.
• May cause urinary retention or difficulty urinating, especially in males or patients with pre-existing urinary outflow obstruction.
• Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Atomoxetine should be used during pregnancy or lactation only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor.
• May cause dizziness, fatigue, or somnolence; use caution when driving or operating machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
