Description:

Estikan 10 mg tablets are a prescription antidepressant medicine containing escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri). Indications:

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

• Adults: The usual initial dose is 10 mg (one tablet) once daily.
• If adequate response is not achieved after a minimum of 1 week, the dose may be increased by the physician up to a maximum of 20 mg once daily.
• Take the tablet at the same time each day, with or without food, swallowed whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the film-coated tablet.
• Do not change the dose or stop taking Estikan suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this may cause withdrawal symptoms (e.g., dizziness, irritability, sleep disturbances).
• Treatment duration is determined by the prescribing physician; antidepressants are usually continued for several months after symptom improvement to help prevent relapse.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed tablet.

• May increase risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviors, particularly at the beginning of treatment or when doses are changed, especially in young adults. Close monitoring by a healthcare professional is essential.
• May cause drowsiness, dizziness, or impaired concentration; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
• Avoid alcohol while taking Estikan, as it may enhance certain side effects.
• Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Escitalopram should be used during pregnancy or lactation only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor.
• Inform your doctor about all other medicines and supplements you are taking, especially other antidepressants, triptans, tramadol, lithium, antipsychotics, anticoagulants, nsaids, and antiarrhythmics, due to risk of interactions.

Side Effects:
