About the product

Ketolgin 50 Mg 30 Tablets

Description:

Ketolgin 50 mg 30 tablets is a prescription oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing ketoprofen. It is used for the short-term relief of pain, inflammation, and fever associated with musculoskeletal disorders, joint diseases, and acute painful conditions. As a systemic anti-inflammatory and analgesic, Ketolgin helps reduce pain intensity, swelling, and stiffness, improving mobility and overall comfort in adults when used under medical supervision.

Indications:

  • Relief of pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
  • Treatment of acute exacerbations of musculoskeletal, periarticular, and soft tissue disorders (e.g., back pain, sprains, strains, tendonitis).
  • Management of pain associated with primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain).
  • Adjunctive treatment for acute gout attacks to reduce pain and inflammation.
  • Relief of migraine and other moderate acute pain conditions as directed by a physician.
  • Symptomatic relief of fever and inflammatory pain where an NSAID is indicated, under medical advice.

Active Ingredients / Key Components:

  • Ketoprofen – 50 mg per film-coated tablet.
  • Excipients (tablet core and coating) – include standard pharmaceutical inactive ingredients .

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

  • Adults: The usual dose is 50 mg 2–3 times daily, as prescribed by the physician, depending on pain intensity and clinical condition.
  • Tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water; do not crush or chew the film-coated tablets.
  • It is generally recommended to take Ketolgin with food or after meals to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal irritation.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration to control symptoms.
  • Do not exceed the maximum daily dose recommended by your doctor.
  • Not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatric specialist.
  • If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose; do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
  • Always follow your doctor’s instructions and the information on the package insert.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Provides effective analgesic action for moderate pain such as joint pain, muscle pain, and menstrual cramps.
  • Reduces inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, helping to decrease swelling, redness, and stiffness in joints and soft tissues.
  • Offers antipyretic (fever-reducing) effect in inflammatory conditions when prescribed.
  • Improves mobility and functional capacity in patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Helps enhance quality of life by controlling acute painful episodes when used appropriately under medical supervision.

Warnings & Contraindications:

  • May increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction, and stroke, especially with prolonged use or in patients with existing cardiovascular risk factors.
  • May cause serious gastrointestinal adverse events including bleeding, ulceration, and perforation, which can be fatal; risk is higher in elderly patients.
