Naviluca 200 mg 7 capsules is an oral antifungal medicine containing fluconazole, a triazole derivative with broad-spectrum activity against many fungal infections. It is commonly used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis, systemic candidiasis, and cryptococcal infections. Naviluca is designed for short-course and single-dose antifungal therapy as prescribed by a healthcare professional, helping to relieve symptoms such as itching, discharge, soreness, and discomfort associated with fungal infections.
Indications:
- Oesophageal candidiasis (fungal infection of the oesophagus)
- Oropharyngeal candidiasis (oral thrush)
- Vaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection), including acute episodes
- Systemic candidiasis (candidemia and disseminated candidiasis)
- Cryptococcal infections, including cryptococcal meningitis (as per physician’s prescription)
- Prevention and control of recurrent mucosal candidiasis in at-risk patients, as directed by a doctor
Active Ingredients / Key Components:
- Fluconazole – 200 mg per capsule
- Other excipients: Not specified in available information (refer to package insert for full list of inactive ingredients)
Dosage & Administration / How to Use:
- Use only as prescribed by a physician or healthcare professional.
- Typical adult dose for vaginal candidiasis: often a single oral dose of fluconazole (dose and duration to be confirmed by your doctor).
- For oropharyngeal or oesophageal candidiasis and systemic infections: dose, frequency, and duration vary according to severity, site of infection, and patient condition; follow your doctor’s exact instructions.
- Capsules are taken orally with a full glass of water, with or without food.
- Take the dose at the same time each day if prescribed for multiple days.
- Do not stop treatment early, even if symptoms improve, unless advised by your doctor.
- If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose; do not double the dose.
Clinical Benefits:
- Provides effective treatment for a broad range of fungal infections caused by Candida and Cryptococcus species.
- Helps relieve symptoms of vaginal yeast infections, including itching, burning, and abnormal discharge.
- Supports rapid improvement of oral and oesophageal candidiasis, easing pain, soreness, and swallowing difficulties.
