Description:

Nestacoran 2 mg is a prescription medicine containing eszopiclone, a non-benzodiazepine sedative-hypnotic used for the short-term treatment of insomnia. Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

• Older patients (elderly): Recommended dose is usually 2 mg once daily before bedtime, as higher doses may increase the risk of side effects such as drowsiness and falls.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient amount of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the film-coated tablet.
• Take just before going to bed, only when you are able to have a full night’s sleep (7–8 hours) before you need to be active again.
• Can be taken with or without food; however, taking it immediately after a heavy or high-fat meal may delay the onset of action.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration, generally for short-term treatment. Long-term continuous use should only be under close medical supervision.

• Use with caution in patients with depression, anxiety disorders, or other psychiatric illnesses, as insomnia may be a symptom of underlying conditions. Worsening depression, suicidal thoughts, or behavioral changes require urgent medical attention.
• Not recommended for children or adolescents unless specifically prescribed by a specialist.
