About the product

Recoxibright 90 Mg 30 Tablets

Description:

Recoxibright 90 mg 30 tablets is a prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the selective COX-2 inhibitor class containing etoricoxib. It is used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in chronic and acute musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, chronic low back pain, and acute gouty arthritis. By selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), Recoxibright helps control pain, swelling, and stiffness while minimizing inhibition of COX-1, which is more involved in gastric protection. This medicine is intended for adult use under medical supervision.

Indications:

  • Treatment of osteoarthritis-associated pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
  • Management of rheumatoid arthritis symptoms including joint pain, swelling, and reduced mobility.
  • Treatment of psoriatic arthritis to relieve joint pain and inflammation.
  • Management of ankylosing spondylitis, helping reduce spinal pain and stiffness.
  • Relief of chronic low back pain of inflammatory or degenerative origin, as assessed by a physician.
  • Short-term treatment of moderate to severe acute pain (e.g., musculoskeletal pain) as prescribed.
  • Treatment of acute gouty arthritis to reduce intense joint pain, redness, and swelling.

Active Ingredients / Key Components:

  • Etoricoxib – 90 mg per film-coated tablet.
  • Other tablet excipients (fillers, binders, coating agents, preservatives) are present but specific names and concentrations , please check the product leaflet or the manufacturer’s official website.

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

  • Use exactly as prescribed by your physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.
  • Typical adult doses (for guidance only – always follow your doctor’s instructions):
    • Osteoarthritis: commonly 30–60 mg once daily; 90 mg may be used in selected cases as directed by the physician.
    • Rheumatoid arthritis / Ankylosing spondylitis / Psoriatic arthritis: up to 90 mg once daily as prescribed.
    • Acute gouty arthritis: up to 120 mg once daily for the shortest possible duration, usually a few days, as directed by the doctor.
    • Chronic low back pain or other chronic pain conditions: dose individualized by the physician, not to exceed the maximum recommended daily dose.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew.
  • Can be taken with or without food; taking it at the same time each day is recommended. Food may slightly delay onset of action but does not significantly affect overall effect.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
  • Not recommended for use in children and adolescents unless specifically prescribed by a specialist.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Provides effective pain relief in inflammatory joint diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Reduces joint swelling, stiffness, and improves mobility, helping patients maintain daily physical activity.
  • Offers targeted COX-2 inhibition, which may reduce the risk of certain gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs, while still providing strong anti-inflammatory action.
  • Helps control acute attacks of gout by rapidly decreasing intense joint pain and inflammation.
  • Supports better quality of life in chronic musculoskeletal conditions by improving functional capacity and comfort when used under medical supervision.

Warnings & Contraindications:

  • Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any component of the product.
  • Do not use if you have active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or a history of severe gastrointestinal hemorrhage related to NSAID use.
  • Contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment or severe renal impairment.
  • Not recommended in patients with established ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease (e.g., stroke), or peripheral arterial disease, unless clearly indicated and closely monitored.
  • Use with caution in patients with risk factors for cardiovascular events (e.g., hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, smoking). Blood pressure should be monitored regularly.
  • Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, renal impairment, liver disease, fluid retention, heart failure, or edema.
  • May mask signs of infection such as fever and inflammation; monitor underlying conditions carefully.
  • Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or nursing. Etoricoxib is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly needed and prescribed.
  • Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, especially anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents (e.g., aspirin), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, and certain antidepressants.
  • Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease without proper medical supervision.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration, as prolonged or high-dose use may increase the risk of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal adverse events.

  • Less common side effects can include increased blood pressure, palpitations, fluid retention, rash, pruritus (itching), and changes in liver function tests.
