About the product

Rivarospire 10 Mg 20 Tablets

Description:

Rivarospire 10 mg 20 tablets is a prescription oral anticoagulant (blood thinner) containing rivaroxaban, a direct factor Xa inhibitor. It is used to prevent and treat the formation of harmful blood clots in veins and arteries, and to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in specific high‑risk patients. By selectively blocking factor Xa in the coagulation cascade, Rivarospire helps maintain smoother blood flow and lowers the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and clot‑related complications after certain surgeries or in patients with atrial fibrillation, as directed by a physician.

Indications:

  • Prevention of venous thromboembolism (VTE), including deep vein thrombosis (DVT), following certain orthopedic surgeries, as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and reduction of the risk of recurrence, according to physician guidance.
  • Reduction of the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non‑valvular atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat), when anticoagulation is indicated.
  • Prevention and treatment of blood clots in certain high‑risk patients where a direct oral anticoagulant is recommended.
  • Management of conditions associated with increased risk of blood clot formation, as determined by a healthcare professional.

Active Ingredients / Key Components:

  • Rivaroxaban – 10 mg per film‑coated tablet
  • Other inactive ingredients (excipients, film‑coating agents, stabilizers) are present but specific composition and concentrations , please check the product leaflet or the manufacturer’s official website. Refer to the official package leaflet for the full excipient list.

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

  • Use only under medical supervision and exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Typical adult dose for VTE prevention after certain surgeries is often 10 mg once daily, but the exact dose, timing, and duration depend on the indication, kidney function, age, and overall clinical status. Follow your physician’s instructions strictly.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the film‑coated tablet unless your doctor or pharmacist specifically advises otherwise.
  • Rivarospire 10 mg may be taken with or without food, as directed by your physician for the specific indication.
  • Take the dose at the same time each day to maintain consistent anticoagulant effect.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed tablet. Follow your doctor’s advice regarding missed doses.
  • Do not stop taking Rivarospire suddenly without consulting your doctor, as this may increase the risk of blood clots or stroke.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Helps prevent the formation of dangerous blood clots in veins and lungs, reducing the risk of DVT and pulmonary embolism.
  • Reduces the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non‑valvular atrial fibrillation who require anticoagulation therapy.
  • Provides a targeted anticoagulant effect by directly inhibiting factor Xa, a key component in the blood clotting cascade.
  • Oral tablet form offers a convenient alternative to injectable anticoagulants, improving treatment adherence for many patients.

Warnings & Contraindications:

  • Do not use Rivarospire 10 mg if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to rivaroxaban or any of the other ingredients in the product.
  • Contraindicated in patients with active clinically significant bleeding or conditions associated with a high risk of major bleeding.
  • Not recommended in patients with severe liver disease associated with coagulopathy and clinically relevant bleeding risk.
  • Use with caution in patients with kidney impairment, history of bleeding disorders, recent surgery, gastrointestinal ulcers, or uncontrolled hypertension. Dose adjustment or alternative therapy may be required.
  • Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, especially other anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents (such as aspirin, clopidogrel), non‑steroidal anti‑inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), antidepressants, or herbal products like St. John’s wort, as these may increase bleeding risk or alter rivaroxaban levels.
  • Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Rivaroxaban is generally not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless clearly needed and prescribed by a specialist.
  • Inform surgeons, dentists, and any healthcare provider that you are taking Rivarospire before any surgery, dental procedure, or invasive test, as temporary interruption may be necessary.
  • Avoid activities with high risk of injury or trauma that could lead to bleeding while on anticoagulant therapy.
  • Consult your doctor before use if you have liver disease, kidney disease, bleeding disorders, recent stroke, stomach or intestinal ulcers, or are taking medications that affect blood clotting.
  • Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease without proper medical supervision.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Side Effects:
  • Common side effects may include bleeding (such as nosebleeds, gum bleeding, heavier or prolonged menstrual bleeding), easy bruising, and mild anemia symptoms (fatigue, weakness). Gastrointestinal symptoms like stomach pain, indigestion, nausea, or constipation may also occur.
  • Less common but serious side effects include major bleeding (such as vomiting blood, coughing up blood, blood in urine or stools, black or tarry stools, severe unexplained bruising, or prolonged bleeding from cuts), intracranial bleeding (sudden severe headache, confusion, vision changes, weakness, or difficulty speaking), or allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling of face or throat, difficulty breathing).
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience signs of serious bleeding, sudden severe headache, chest pain, shortness of breath, collapse, or any symptoms of an allergic reaction.
  • If you notice any unusual symptoms or side effects not listed here, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
