Description:

Stoprrhea 2 mg 30 orodispersible tablets is an anti-diarrhoeal medicine containing loperamide, designed to effectively control acute and chronic diarrhoea in adults and children as directed by a physician. Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

• Adults (oral): usual initial dose is 4 mg (2 tablets of 2 mg) followed by 2 mg (1 tablet) after each loose stool. Do not exceed a total of 16 mg per day unless otherwise directed by a physician.
• Children: dosing depends on age and body weight and must be determined by a doctor. Typical oral daily doses of loperamide are: 2–5 years: 3 mg/day in 3 divided doses; 6–8 years: 4 mg/day in 2 divided doses; 8–12 years: 6 mg/day in 3 divided doses. Maximum daily dose should not be exceeded. Use only under medical supervision in children.
• Method of administration: Place the orodispersible tablet on the tongue and allow it to dissolve; swallow the dissolved tablet with saliva. No water is required, making it suitable when access to water is limited.
