Description:

Indications:

• Acute bacterial sinusitis (sinus infections) caused by susceptible organisms.

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

• Tavoniflox 500 mg is for oral use only and must be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
• Typical adult dose: 500 mg once daily, depending on the type and severity of infection and kidney function. Some infections may require higher or lower doses or longer duration. The exact regimen must be determined by a physician.
• Duration of treatment usually ranges from 3 to 14 days, and may be longer for complicated infections, as directed by your doctor.

• Use cautiously in patients with seizure disorders, epilepsy, or other conditions that lower the seizure threshold.
• May prolong the qt interval; use with caution in patients with known qt prolongation, uncorrected electrolyte disturbances (e.g., low potassium or magnesium), heart disease, or in combination with other qt-prolonging drugs.
• May cause blood sugar disturbances (hypoglycaemia or hyperglycaemia), especially in diabetic patients taking insulin or oral antidiabetics. Monitor blood glucose closely.
• May cause photosensitivity; avoid excessive sunlight or uv exposure and use protective clothing and sunscreen.
• Consult your doctor before use if you have kidney disease, liver disease, myasthenia gravis, heart rhythm disorders, or a history of mental health problems.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience dizziness, drowsiness, visual disturbances, or other nervous system side effects.

Storage Instructions:

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the blister pack in the outer carton to protect from light. Do not store above 30°c unless otherwise stated on the package.
