Description:

Vendocid 20mg capsules are a prescription non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing piroxicam, an oxicam derivative. Indications:

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew.
• It is generally recommended to take the capsule with or after food to help reduce the risk of gastrointestinal irritation.
• Use for the shortest duration and at the lowest effective dose necessary to control symptoms.
• If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, fluid retention, or edema. Long-term use of some nsaids may be associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular thrombotic events.
• Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment; dose adjustment or close monitoring may be required.
• May prolong bleeding time and reduce platelet aggregation; caution in patients with bleeding disorders or those receiving anticoagulant therapy.
• Drug interactions: may interact with anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin) by prolonging prothrombin time; beta-blockers (may reduce antihypertensive effect); cyclosporine (increased nephrotoxicity); lithium (increased serum lithium levels); hydantoins (increased serum hydantoin levels). Always inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are taking.
• Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Nsaids are generally not recommended in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease without proper medical supervision.
