Description:
Actifast 50 mg 6 sachets is a fast-acting prescription-strength pain relief medicine containing diclofenac potassium, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (nsaid). It is formulated in sachet form for oral use to provide rapid relief from pain, inflammation, and fever associated with musculoskeletal disorders, joint diseases, and acute painful conditions. Manufactured by October Pharma, Actifast is suitable for adults and is commonly used for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and painful menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea), as well as post-operative and dental pain.
Indications:
- Rheumatoid arthritis and other inflammatory joint diseases.
- Ankylosing spondylitis and other spondyloarthropathies.
- Osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disorders.
- Acute gout attacks and other crystal deposition joint disorders.
- Short-term relief of mild to moderate pain such as musculoskeletal pain, back pain, sprains, and strains.
- Post-operative pain and inflammation following dental or minor orthopedic procedures.
- Dysmenorrhoea (painful menstrual periods).
- Symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation where a rapid onset of action is desired.
Active Ingredients / Key Components:

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:
- Adults: The usual dose is 50 mg (1 sachet) taken 2–3 times daily, as directed by a physician. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose recommended by your doctor.
- Method of administration: Empty the contents of one sachet into a glass, add an adequate amount of water, stir until completely dispersed, and drink immediately.
- Take preferably with or after food to help reduce the risk of gastrointestinal irritation, unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
- Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
- Not recommended for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatric specialist.
- If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

Warnings & Contraindications:

- Contraindicated in patients with a history of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other nsaids.
- Contraindicated in active, suspected, or history of recurrent peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, or perforation.
- Use with extreme caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, or smokers, as nsaids may increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction, and stroke.
- Use with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, heart failure, or those taking diuretics, ace inhibitors, or angiotensin receptor blockers.
- May cause gastrointestinal irritation, bleeding, ulceration, or perforation, which can be serious and potentially fatal. Elderly patients are at higher risk.
- Avoid concomitant use with other nsaids, including selective cox-2 inhibitors, unless advised by a healthcare professional.
- May interact with anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, corticosteroids, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (ssris), antihypertensives, diuretics, lithium, methotrexate, and other medications. Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking.
- Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, especially in the third trimester, or if you are planning pregnancy. Diclofenac is generally not recommended in late pregnancy.
- Consult your doctor before use if breastfeeding, as small amounts of diclofenac may pass into breast milk.
- Consult your doctor before use if you have medical conditions such as liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, hypertension, bleeding disorders, or gastrointestinal disease.

Side Effects:
- Common side effects: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, headache, dizziness, and skin rash.
- Less common but serious side effects: gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcer (manifested as black or bloody stools, vomiting blood or coffee-ground material), severe abdominal pain, severe skin reactions, swelling of the face or limbs, sudden weight gain, chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness on one side of the body, or slurred speech.
- Allergic reactions: rash, itching, swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing require immediate medical attention.
- If you experience any unusual or severe symptoms, stop using the product and seek medical advice promptly.
