About the product

Recoxibright 60 Mg 20 Tablets

Description:

Recoxibright 60 mg 20 tablets is a prescription anti-inflammatory pain relief medicine containing etoricoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor (coxib). It is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with various joint and musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, chronic low back pain, acute pain, and gout. By selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme involved in pain and inflammation, Recoxibright helps reduce swelling, stiffness, and discomfort while minimizing effects on COX-1, which is important for stomach protection. This product is intended for adult use under medical supervision.

Indications:

  • Treatment of osteoarthritis-associated pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
  • Management of rheumatoid arthritis to reduce joint pain, swelling, and functional limitation.
  • Relief of pain and inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis.
  • Management of chronic low back pain of inflammatory or degenerative origin, as prescribed by a doctor.
  • Short-term treatment of acute pain (such as musculoskeletal pain, dental pain) as directed by a physician.
  • Treatment of acute gouty arthritis to reduce intense joint pain, redness, and swelling.

Active Ingredients / Key Components:

  • Etoricoxib – 60 mg per film-coated tablet.
  • Other inactive ingredients (excipients, film-coating agents, stabilizers) are present but specific component names and concentrations , please check the product leaflet or the manufacturer’s official website.

Dosage & Administration / How to Use:

  • Use only as prescribed by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose or duration.
  • Typical adult dose (may vary by indication and patient condition, always follow your doctor’s instructions):
    • Osteoarthritis: usually 60 mg once daily.
    • Rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis: doses are commonly 60–90 mg once daily; your doctor will determine the appropriate dose.
    • Chronic low back pain: dose as directed by your physician, often similar to other chronic inflammatory conditions.
    • Acute pain and gout: higher short-term doses may be used for limited periods as prescribed.
  • Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew.
  • Can be taken with or without food; taking it at the same time each day is recommended. Food may slightly delay onset but does not significantly affect overall effect.
  • Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.
  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose.
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents unless specifically prescribed by a specialist.

Clinical Benefits:

  • Provides targeted pain relief by selectively inhibiting COX-2, an enzyme responsible for pain and inflammation.
  • Helps reduce joint swelling, stiffness, and tenderness in conditions such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, improving mobility and daily function.
  • Offers effective control of acute inflammatory pain, including gout attacks and musculoskeletal pain, enhancing comfort and quality of life.
  • Selective COX-2 inhibition aims to maintain COX-1 activity, which may help reduce the risk of certain gastrointestinal side effects compared with some non-selective NSAIDs, when used as directed.

Warnings & Contraindications:

  • Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any component of the product.
  • Do not use if you have active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver impairment, severe renal impairment, or inflammatory bowel disease, unless specifically advised by your doctor.
  • Not recommended in patients with established ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease (e.g., stroke), or uncontrolled hypertension, unless your doctor decides the benefit outweighs the risk.
  • Use with caution in patients with history of ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, cardiovascular risk factors (such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking), kidney or liver disease, or fluid retention.
  • May cause fluid retention and edema; monitor if you have heart failure or risk of heart disease.
  • May increase blood pressure; regular monitoring is recommended in long-term use.
  • Consult your doctor before use if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Etoricoxib is generally not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless clearly needed and prescribed.
  • Inform your doctor about all other medications you are taking, especially other NSAIDs, aspirin, anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), antiplatelets, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, lithium, methotrexate, or cyclosporine.
  • Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease without proper medical supervision.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not exceed the prescribed dose or duration, as prolonged or high-dose use may increase the risk of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal adverse events.

Side Effects:
  • Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, fatigue, indigestion, heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, or swelling of the legs and ankles (edema).
  • Less common side effects can include increased blood pressure, palpitations, fluid retention, or mild skin reactions such as rash or itching.
  • Serious side effects (seek immediate medical attention) may include signs of allergic reaction (facial or tongue swelling, difficulty breathing, severe skin rash), chest pain, sudden shortness of breath, weakness or numbness on one side of the body, severe stomach pain, black or bloody stools, or vomiting blood.
  • If you experience persistent or severe side effects, stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor promptly.
