Description:

Vonaspire 10 mg 14 tablets is a prescription oral medicine containing vonoprazan, a first-in-class potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) used for the treatment and prevention of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. By strongly and rapidly inhibiting gastric acid secretion at the level of the proton pump, Vonaspire provides effective relief from heartburn, gastric and duodenal ulcers, and reflux-related symptoms, and supports healing of the stomach and duodenal lining. It is intended for use under medical supervision in adults who require potent and sustained acid suppression therapy.

Indications:

• Treatment of gastric ulcer.
• Treatment of duodenal ulcer.
• Treatment of reflux esophagitis and symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), such as persistent heartburn, acid regurgitation, and epigastric pain.
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during low-dose aspirin therapy in patients at risk of ulcer complications.
• Prevention of recurrence of gastric or duodenal ulcer during non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy in at-risk patients.
• Adjunct to Helicobacter pylori eradication regimens in conditions such as gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura associated with H. pylori, post-endoscopic resection of early gastric cancer, or H. pylori gastritis, as directed by a physician.
• Management of acid-related dyspepsia where a P-CAB is indicated, according to physician judgment.
